Swim - USC / Bike - Private / Run - GURR
I started swimming when I was 8 years old as a novice swimmer and have gradually and steadily improved every year. I continue to focus a great deal of my year on swimming and really enjoy my teammates and the competitions I get to go to all over the province. I have also run with school teams for a few years. I have only begun cycling in the last 3 years taking my time to learn more skills and get comfortable out on the roads.
The summer before grade 10 was when my interest in technology became obvious. I started to mess around with phones and their operating systems. In the 2 years to follow; I have built a few computers, learned to code, and embraced innovation. During the past year, I took computer science class where I learnt basic HTML and CSS, and advance PHP and MySQL applications. Recently, I have pursued more advanced HTML and CSS; includind Sass. I am always continuing to learn and gain a larger knowledge base.
Family – Parents are John & Carol Vadeika. A younger sister (she is a great athlete!). A fantastic dog called RIO; full of energy and snuggles.
Friends – through my athletic interests and schooling I have met so many great people that are really cool and great to hang out with.
Traveling – between training and racing in my sport activities, my schedule is busy but the opportunity to travel is awesome. I hope to do more!
I'm always open to support...
A huge thank you to the Town of EG for their support. I am extremely grateful to be selected to receive this bursary of financial support. Without it, travel to the provincial race series would be extremely difficult. Thank you EG council and donators!

Thank you to Blade Carbon Wheels for making me a part of their team. BLADE® offers the most customizable carbon fiber road cycling wheels in the North American Marketplace. They provide options to choose tubulars or clinchers, rim width and depth size, decal colour, carbon finish, spoke colour and free hub.

Like most young kids I wouldn’t be able to do everything I do without the support of my amazing family; Mom (Carol), Dad (John), Sister (Robin) and our amazing dog (Rio). They have always been there for me to shape and encourage me to pursue my dreams.

My experience in high school has been fantastic! The school and teachers have been very supportive and understanding of both my academic motivation as well as my athletic interests. I look forward to many more years of building great memories and developing friendships.
